Davison Highlights: Compulsion

The magnetism between our bodies was palpable. He lowered his head gently brushing his lips up my jawline, and up to my mouth kissing me passionately while I lay in the grass. My entire body tingled in response to each of his touches. My attraction to him was overwhelming. I brought both of my hands up to his face holding his lips to mine and allowing the passion to work its own magick between us.

Davison Highlights would like to share with you books that you may want to check out that you might not otherwise ever hear of. I will bring you works from authors that might only be heard of in a small location or perhaps maybe not at all. These authors are the equivalent of the underground rap stars trying to reach you the audience and entertain you as much or more than the authors that everyone has heard of.

I would like to share with you a teaser from a title called “Compulsion,” by Kymberlee Burks-Miller. This is just one of many authors I know about that you may not. I am bringing them to you so that you can read about them and their work.

Teaser:

Mason walked me through a few more drills “Lily I want you to try calling fire as you lung with the stake.” I did as he instructed. I positioned myself in front of him stake in my dominate left hand, waiting to see what direction he would come at me from. He didn’t keep me in suspense long. He advanced on my left side reaching for my tool. I spun into his attack landing a perfect roundhouse kick to his side calling my element “Fire!” I shouted as the flame sprang to life in front of his face making him step back, and I saw my opportunity.

I threw a front kick and hit my target in the middle of his chest throwing him off balance enough for me to fling the weight of body against his knocking us both to the ground. He landed on his back with me straddled on top of him, and my stake raised inches above his heart. He looked up at me smiling from ear to ear. Pride written all over that God like face “If this were a real fight I would have won and you’d be dead. Right?” He tried to move my weapon but I resisted as he spoke “Yes Angel. I would be dead.” Now I smiled proudly! I was not a weak little girl who couldn’t fight. I was becoming a strong witch that was deadly. “I’m quite enjoying my view.”

I looked down at him as he spoke, and realized that I was still sitting straddled over top of him, and he was staring at my chest with his playfully evil little grin. Faster than a cobra strikes he had the stake out of my hand tossing it over his head out of my reach, and flipped me over so that now he was lying on top of me. I felt the sweaty skin of his bared chest against the flimsy material of my tank top. Our eyes locked on each other. His answer to my touch was primal.

He pressed his lips, and body harder against mine letting them meld together. I wanted Mason so badly but knew that this was not the right time or place. I wanted our first time to be something that was enchanted. I pulled my face back slightly letting my tongue run across his lower lip. I felt his body quiver above mine. “We should probably go inside.” I said reluctantly and, a little breathlessly.
